Time & Location

18 May 2024, 10:30 – 14:00

Waterford, Water's Gate, Bilberry, Waterford, Co. Waterford, Ireland

About the event

Our meeting point on Saturday 18th of May 2024 is at Waterford Greenway carpark at 10:30am.

From there, we will walk along the Waterford Greenway towards our site. Not only will we get a chance to explore our establishing native woodland reserve, which is still being planted to this day, but we will stop along the way admiring the bounty sights, sounds and smells that nature has to offer. From wildflowers to the insects visiting them. From newly establishing native trees to towering veterans, and the shrubs that grow in their understorey. We'll celebrate these, the scaffolding of our native Irish woodland ecosystems.

Once at the reserve, we will stop for a picnic lunch, tea and coffee. After which, we will start our walk back to Bilberry Carpark.

We hope that you may join us on the day, learn with us, and show your support for Ireland's natural heritage. This event is free to attend and open to families.
