Trees for Secondary Schools was a project run by The Native Woodland Trust, sponsored by Allied Irish Bank (AIB) and with media support from Independent Newspapers.
We donated 30 free native trees to Secondary schools countrywide - more than one in four secondary schools took part.
Schools were able to choose from 3 different bundles of trees depending on the space available in the school. The pack sent out to schools included a booklet on how to identify and plant trees, and an A3 poster to invite people to come help with the planting.
